It’s throw back Thursday! Each November the March of Dimes hosts the Signature Chefs Auction, which is a wonderful event and I’m so honored to be able to photograph it each year. The March of Dimes is one of those organizations that is very near and dear to my heart. If you follow me, you may know that both of my children were born prematurely – Knox was born at 31 weeks and Isla at 33 weeks. They both spent over a month in the NICU at TMH, which any parent knows is a very trying time. Events such as the Signature Chefs Auction help raise money for education, advocacy, and research to benefit healthy babies. This past year, the Signature Chefs Auction raised over $100,000 for this cause and I’m so proud to be a part of something so wonderful. I have also decided to start donating $100 from each wedding collection booked to the March of Dimes at their Signature Chefs Auction! Every little bit helps babies like mine! Please consider making a donation to help save babies!
There’s a silent auction with items like those shown below from The Pampered Chef and Madison Social. There are all sorts of items in the auction such as spa and vacation packages, and products from Mary Kay and the Gem Collection.
Leading culinary talent in each city creates a collection of signature dishes in support of the March of Dimes.
Each year a family is chosen for the Fund the Mission segment of the evening. They tell their story and how the March of Dimes helped them, and then people make donations via the live auction to help other families.
