• Welcome

I'm so excited you made it to my blog! This is where we can truly get to know each other better. I'm a writer by nature and sometimes I think the best way to get to know someone is through their words. Words can connect, move, and inspire people. They are very similar to photographs in that way. So wander around and get to know me better! I hope I can inspire you - just as each one of my clients has inspired me.

Sierra and Justin | North Florida Wedding Photographer

Sierra and Justin’s wedding was a beautiful rustic affair, complete with cowboy boots, hay bales, and cotton! I second shot this pretty wedding for Nicole Everson Photography.

Baby Adelaine | Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

I have gotten to know Krista and Paul well over the last year and truly consider them friends. As much as I would love to continue photographing my wedding couples as they grow in their life together, it is often not possible because so many of my wonderful couples live out of the state. Krista and Paul are actually one of those couples. They live in Nashville. So imagine my surprise (and happiness) when I got an email from Krista letting me know that she and Paul were expecting (YIPPEE!!!) . . . . and that she wanted me to take her maternity and newborn photos. I have no words for how much that meant to me; and how much this family means to me.

I love getting to see you guys grow your family! Adelaine is perfect! Thank you for everything. You guys rock!

Wedding Tips: For the Newly Engaged | Tallahassee Wedding Photographer

It’s the Monday after Valentine’s Day which probably means there are a lot of ladies out there with some new bling on her finger! So let me first say CONGRATULATIONS!! And now I’d love to offer a few tips to the newly engaged couple:

1. Take time to enjoy being engaged! This is your time to be happy and celebrate the first step in creating your brand new family.

2. Next, make sure you and your fiancé are on the same page and have the same vision before family (and friends) get involved. Talk about what is important to each of you, and make a plan for backing each other up when other people challenge your decisions. Always back each other up in front of others.

3. It’s ok if you don’t already have a date and venue picked out within 24 hours! People will start asking you about colors and wedding parties and venues, but it’s ok to tell them you’ve been busy drinking champagne and looking at your new bling bling.:-)

Wedding planning can be stressful – enjoy this time before the crazy kicks in! And once that crazy does kick in, I’m always here to help my couples navigate the wedding planning process!

Did you find these tips helpful? Do you have anything to add? Let me know in the comments! And then share the tips with others!
