Maren and Brian had an intimate ceremony in the Mahogany Room at Hotel Duval, with a cocktail hour in the adjoining Library. It’s not every day I hear a bride say she was drawn to the “wood paneling” but even I had to admit, the Mahogany room and Library were beautiful. Maren and Brian kept everything simple – keeping the focus on their family and their love for each other. They spoke handwritten vows to each other in front of 30 family and friends and after a cocktail hour the entire group loaded into a van and headed to Maclay Gardens for photos. They then ended the day with dinner at Shula’s. It was a beautiful day and I absolutely loved the nontraditional flow of it.

Maren and Brian did their first look on Level 8.

I loved how laid back these two were all day; the only thing that mattered was saying “I Do” and starting their lives together. Maren and Brian followed up their intimate Tallahassee wedding with a huge blow-out reception at the Hyatt Arcade in Cleveland, Ohio. You can see photos from their reception here. I am so happy these two found me in their search for their Tallahassee wedding photographer! I hope you had a wonderful time in New Orleans on your honeymoon before heading to Cleveland for some more wedding fun!

I knew Angela and I would get along well when she said her favorite coffee was a Starbuck’s white chocolate mocha. And from the moment I met her and Bobby at their Tallahassee engagement session I knew I was right. These two are so much fun to be around, always making each other laugh (and those around them) – they even brought props to their wedding reception.
But something that truly stood out to me was just how much these two love each other. Their love was evident to everyone around them and it brought such a joy to the day – even when things didn’t go “just as planned.”
They were married at a beautiful beachside ceremony with the reception outside at the Princess Condominiums in Panama City Beach. The day before the wedding there was a severe thunderstorm, but the clouds parted in the morning and it turned out to be an amazing day!

Angela had two pairs of shoes, one for the early part of the day and then these adorable flats to keep her feet comfortable when dancing.

A simply stunning image taken by Tiffany.

I loved how Janie was watching Angela get ready. I could almost see her envisioning her own wedding day in this moment.

One of my most favorite images ever. Just prior to shooting this image, I had cleared the room of everyone except me, my second shooter, and Angela. It was the first time that day Angela had a chance to breath and take it all in, and she was overcome with emotion. There is no script for this. It’s simply what happened. And that’s what I love to capture for my couples.

Angela and Bobby hired Misty Curtis with The Celebration Place to coordinate the day for them. Misty was wonderful to work with and I hope I have the opportunity to work with her again soon! The morning of the wedding, Misty was tying all of these chair bows. I love how they turned out with the burlap!

The fan programs were a wonderful idea for a beach wedding – helped keep people cool AND provided a sun shade!

Angela and Bobby, enjoy this new journey you are on, and always remember to come back to each other with love at the end of the day. Thank you for a wonderful day!
